Has my computer died?

I have had my computer at home for less than a year. I keep getting a message when I turn my computer on: Insert system disc and press enter. That's all I get. I tried the usual... rebooting and nothing happens....that's it! If any of you have had this happen or know anything about computers, please let me know. We actually use our computer at home very little so I don't know what happened or how it happened. If you have any insight, please help! Thanks!

C.J. mentioned it last night. Have you tried inserting the start up disc that came with the computer and starting all over again? Hope you don't mind that last night I showed C.J. our blog spots!! He was trying to tell us about your work party and I told him I knew all about it!!! The picture of your kids is really good.

Charlie said it sounded like you have a virus, but wasn't sure. Do you have up-to-date anitvirus software? Wish we could help!

I was wondering if I had a virus. My cousin is a computer genius, but she hasn't called me back yet and our IT guy at work has been off work. It's sad, but I don't think I have an anti-virus software. I did a virus scan a couple of months ago, but everything showed up fine. I think I have Kaspersky (sp?) that I downloaded online.

Nancy, that was fine for CJ to see my blog. I think he was impressed, although I think he wanted more pictures of himself up there.

after u get that screen does you computer boot up at all where u can get to you desk top. if not u have a serious problem and need to have it fixed. if it lets you get to ur desktop do a virus scan and then go in and deltet ALL your cookies and temporary internet files. and then do a SYSTEM restore. (you won't loose your pics and stuff with system restore).
