CJ's 1st Deer

Here are some pics I took Tuesday night. CJ just started hunting this year with the boys. So this is his first deer EVER! Our family is so redneck!!! But you all know how important it is for a man!!! LOL

Drug Awareness Week

This week is Drug Awareness Week at Willis Hare. The kids were able to wear read shirts today. Here is a pic of them from this morning. They looked so cute in their red. It was a nice change from white and navy!!!

Cupcakes in the morning

I had to bake cupcakes last night for Camryn's Halloween Party at school today. So, my kids had cupcakes this morning (after breakfast of course). I'm sure the teachers will be thanking me this morning! LOL

Detective Alyssa

Well.....Alyssa called me as soon as she got home to tell me that she found one of her games in a boy's book bag!!!! The game was Horses! I hope she doesn't get in trouble, but it will prove to everyone that someone DID steal her stuff!! She turned it in to the teacher and the boy went to the Principal's office. It was a different boy!! Keep your fingers crossed!!!!

Thanks for all of your helpful comments! I love all of my "Blogging Buddies"!!!

What would you do?

On Monday, while packing up her book bag at the end of the day, Alyssa discovered that someone had stolen her pocketbook. She told her teacher and her teacher allowed her to search each child's book bag. Well, it was not found. She called me about 4:30 to tell me what had happened. My first response was that it was not stolen, but that it was misplaced or left at home. I searched my vehicle, my home, my Mom searched her home, and Joey searched his home. Still no pocketbook to be found. Alyssa insisted that she had put the pocketbook in her book bag. I called one of her teachers and she offered to search the classrooms and the bathrooms in the morning (in case someone hid it). Again, no pocketbook was found. I talked to the Principal and she made an announcement at school. A little boy in Alyssa's class turned in the name of another child in her class. From what we understand, the little boy stole the pocketbook and hid it in his pants pocket. That's why it couldn't be found. So, I'm sure your probably thinking, well it's just a pocketbook. Well, it was a Vera Bradley pocketbook that costs $30. Inside of the pocketbook was a Nintendo DS that costs $130 and approx. 8 -10 games that range from $20 - $30 a piece. Her wallet was also in there with a few dollars. So, we are looking at a lot of money. The Principal was not at school this morning, but Alyssa's teacher assured me that the children involved would go to the Principal's office this morning. I know that she wasn't supposed to take it to school, but no one was supposed to go in her book bag either. If it's not returned, Joey wants me to go through the police department. Is that extreme? I found out that the child that supposedly stole the pocketbook is repeating his grade, stays in a lot of trouble, and misses a lot of school. So, that pretty much tells me the parents don't care. What do I do? I don't want to send the police to the school to confront a 10 year old, but what about my child. Why does she have to be a victim in all of this? She's only 9. So, tell me, please, what would you do? If this was your child, what would you do???

Recap of the weekend......

Friday night, we went to Chik-Fil-A for Camryn's birthday. Can we say redneck birthday party? LOL Camryn wanted to go there for her birthday. I agreed because we actually went to a party there a few months ago. It was really simple, the parent brought the cake, and just ordered kids meals and ice cream, and the little girl opened her presents. So, why was it so redneck when we did it? I don't know why, but let me tell you, it was! People were looking at us like we had lost our mind. I wonder why an idea sounds so good until you actually do it? Oh well. Camryn had a ball and that's all that matters. My niece and nephew came home with us and spent the night. They both are sweet, quiet children (so unlike my own), and I enjoyed them so much.

Saturday morning, my kids left around 9 and Caitlin and Cole left around 10. They were so quiet. I hardly even knew they were there! Crazy! So, then I took a shower and headed over to the Woman's Club Building for Shari's Crop. I'm taking a break from scrap booking right now, so I just went to hang out. I ordered every one's lunch and picked it up so they could all continue to crop. After lunch (which was from Main St. Diner in Conway and was GREAT!), I headed home to find my hubby sleep on the couch (big surprise). So, after he woke up and got ready, we headed to Rocky Mount, just the two of us. We went in a couple of stores, ate supper, and went to see the movie Nights in Rodanthe. We had the best time!!! We just talked and enjoyed each other. It was really nice.

Sunday morning around 2 am, I woke up sick, and that's how I spent the whole day! I had a touch of a stomach virus. I did manage to get a shower and go to Mr. James Martin's funeral. My parents have lived next door to Mr. James and his wife Mrs. Emmie since I was in the 4th grade. They have always been so good to our family, that I just couldn't bare to miss his funeral. After the funeral, I came home and cooked supper. CJ and the kids cleaned the kitchen! I was so relieved because it was all I could do to cook. Thank God, I feel much better today.

So, that is a recap of my weekend.

New Haircut

Okay.....so we are slow this time of year, and I was playing with my camera and taking pictures of myself! LOL Not that I like pictures of myself, but sometimes a picture shows you what you REALLY look like. I don't know about you, but my mirror lies to me sometimes. Then later, I'll see a picture and think...I thought my hair looked good or I did like that shirt....what happened....my mirror must have lied to me! LOL Okay, so I guess I'm being a little on the silly side today. So....here's a pic I took of myself with my new haircut. I think maybe I like it now.

My boys have been working hard.....

CJ and the boys loading up the deer stand. CJ and Aaron working hard. I love it! LOL
Nathan with his bag of corn to feed the deer. (And they did clean up that mess behind him)

My guys have spent several afternoons working on their deer stand. I ran outside and took a couple of pictures of them loading it up to take to the woods. I know this is so "country", but hey that's who we are! CJ and the kids really had a great time working on this project. (I'm sure you remember the Anniversary blog and our experience with black paint. LOL) The stand wasn't quite ready for opening day, but it's ready now. The guys are heading out this evening for their first day of hunting and they are soooo excited.

How we spent our Anniversary

Our 4th Wedding Anniversary was yesterday! We had all five kids last night, so we opted to stay home. I had to run to Murfreesboro, so CJ stayed home with all the kids. CJ and the boys were working on a tree stand for Saturday, and my kids played outside and enjoyed the warm weather. Well, CJ decided to paint the tree stand black and let all 5 kids help him paint. What was he thinking?!?!?! So, I get home from Murfreesboro and start cooking supper, washing clothes, enjoying the quiet time (since everyone is outside), and here comes 2 half painted children. Camryn and Logan came in with paint on their face, hands, feet, clothes, everywhere. Next, comes Alyssa. She had been chasing Aaron outside and fell in dog poop. So, she comes in crying with black paint and poop on her. Aaron and Nathan follow in behind her with paint all over them, and CJ comes in last. CJ stood at the sink for about an hour helping the little ones get paint off them and laughing the whole time. There's not much that amuses CJ, but this for some reason did. I, on the other hand, did not find it quite as amusing. I wonder how funny it's going to be this weekend when he has to buy me a new shower curtain that the kids ruined. It was about time to get a new one anyways. LOL I'll have to be sure to thank the children! LOL

When enough's enough.....

I hope that I have finally reached the point with my weight that enough is enough. Over the last 5 years, I have put on 66 lbs. I hope if I blog about it and just put it out there, that maybe I will do something about it. The sad thing is that I've put on more than 66 lbs., that's just in the last 5 years. I have got to stop and do something different. I am so disappointed in myself and the way I look. I got a new haircut yesterday and I think it's now hit me in the face. So, I got mad at myself a few minutes ago, poured out my Coca-Cola (my absolute favorite drink), and opened a bottle of water. I have been on so many diets and failed. What does it take to succeed? What does it take to stick to it? If you have any suggestions, please let me know. I could use all the help I can get. I'm tired of feeling bad about myself and being embarrassed with the way I look. I think it's time to do something!!! Wish me luck, I'll need it!

Just Too Cute!

Alyssa went in her room and this is what she found! The sheets pulled off the bed, and Logan fast asleep with a teddy bear, he's favorite blankie and pillow, and nothing on but Scooby Doo underwear. I have no idea why he pulled the sheets off the bed! Alyssa thought it was so funny that he could fall asleep in this position. She came running in the living room, laughing and saying, "How can he sleep like this"? So, I had to take a picture of him. Just too cute!

Busy Weekend~

This was one crazy, busy weekend!!! Friday night, we went to my sister-in-laws for a fish fry. On Saturday, Cathy, Carol, Shari, and Mary Jo and myself headed to Carolina Crossroads in RR for the Sugarland Concert! We had a Girls Night Out! No Boys Allowed! LOL The lines were insane at the concert! 1 hour wait for fries and 15 minutes for the bathroom! Come on! But, the concert was fun and we had a great time! We stopped by the Waffle House on the way home! Sunday, we had a cookout out at my house. I don't know what I was thinking when I volunteered our house! WHEW! I cleaned all morning, peeled and cut up 15 pounds of potatoes, cooked snaps, and cleaned up all afternoon after the kids and men. We had 13 chickens and a rack of ribs on the grill. Cathy brought a broccoli and cheese casserole. The food was awesome and we had a great time! After everyone left, and I got CJ and the kids in the bed, I sat in the living room and watched my favorite show, Army Wives, all by myself! Oh, how I enjoyed the quietness!

How do you know when your kids have been using your camera?

The first clue is...... you can't find your camera. The second clue is..... when you download your pictures and this is what you find! I think I have some future black mail pics of Logan! And this was only a few, they were several more!!!

Today was the day!!!

Here is a picture of Camryn when she first got her cast. She wanted to play so bad, so we went outside so she could swing a little.
This is Camryn this morning at home! Bye Bye Cast!

They did it! They took Camryn's cast off and then.....put a brace on it for two weeks! :( Camryn was soooo excited and then soooo disappointed. She wanted to be free and clear, but atleast the brace is removable and she can take a bath. We stopped by Wal-Mart before we left Ahoskie and she picked out a bottle of Tinker Bell Bubble Bath, 2 bottles of finger nail polish, and an emery board. LOL She is having a little trouble walking so she stayed home with my Mama and I am sure she is pampering herself.

Our next appointment is October 24 which just so happens to be Camryn's 7th Birthday! Dr. Larabee said when we come back he will set her free from the brace and the walker.

10 minutes to 5

It is 10 minutes to 5 and almost time to go home! Thank Goodness! We are so slow. I really can't think of one more thing to look up on the internet. I know that is sad to complain about, but it really does make a slow day. I hate to face Logan when I get home. He got a red card for not following directions. The red card is the worst card you can get. Of my three children, he is the only one to have ever brought one home. He was trying to "kiss up" when I picked them up from school. He held the door, gave me a hug, took his bookbag in to Gee-Ma's so he could do his homework, told me he loved me. Poor thing! He is not going to love me at all when he gets home. Logan had a really rough time behaving last year and both Joey and I are working really hard to keep him on track. If you slip a little in discipline with Logan, he will slip a lot in behavior. I don't know why it kills him to just sit there and listen. Last year, I made excuses for him because he's a boy and he was the youngest one in his class. Well, not this year, eventually you have to grow up and behave!!! (It's just hard because he is the baby and so darn cute!!)

Tuesday, October 7, 2008

Well, I deleted my old blog and HAD to start a new one. I decided when I started my new one that I would blog more. Well, that hasn't happened. I have literally started 5 blogs and not published one single one. So, I decided to blog today and publish it.

We are counting down the days until Camryn's cast comes off. We have an appointment Friday morning at 9 am. I promised her we would stop by Wal-Mart and get her a big bottle of bubble bath! I know that child is ready to soak in the tub! CJ told her last night when her cast came off that I wasn't going to bathe her at the sink anymore. Camryn and I were both like, no joke! LOL She's tired of it and I'm tired of it! It takes three towels to bathe her. I lay one on the counter for her to lay on, I roll up one of them to go under her neck for support, and I cover her with one in case someone pops in the kitchen.

This is going to be a busy month for us.....Camryn's cast comes off on the 10th, Sugarland concert on the 11th, our 4th wedding anniversary is on the 15th, Camryn's 7th birthday is on the 24th, and Halloween is on the 31st. We also have several other little events through out the month. Busy, busy! I almost forgot....3 of my best friends have birthdays this month...Carol, Shari, and Cathy (listed in the order of the birthdays :). I think I need to find a 2nd job!!! I'll just add that to my "To Do" list!!!!

Starting a new blog.......

Okay, so here is my new blog. I have NO idea what I did to my other blog. Somehow when I was trying to change my template, I lost the Layout Tab and can not get it back! It was replaced with a Template Tab. So, after spending way too much time and getting way too frustrated I just started a new one. The new one is http://blogsbykelly.blogspot.com/.
