Happy New Year

Wow...does a new year actually start tomorrow? Where has this year gone? Looking back...my family made it through Camryn's broke leg, finding out about Daddy's Multiple Myeloma, and my Bell's Palsy...which is completely gone...YAY! As always, I'm thinking of resolutions for the New Year. Maybe this will be the year I keep atleast one! LOL

Fat Feast 2008 is officially over! Diet 2009 starts tomorrow......LOL Okay...Rhonda here is a challenge and you love a challenge...let's comment every Friday, good or bad, how our diet is going. Maybe sharing with the world will help encourage us! If you are starting a diet, I challenge you to join us!!! Let us know what you are doing, what works for you, how much you are losing! Let's be each others support system and LET'S DO IT!!!!

I hope all of my Blogging Buddies have a Happy New Year! I love all of the new friendships I've made through blogging and look forward to the upcoming year!

Christmas

Mama with her Sponge Bob Pinata. Obviously, we play Chinese Christmas (at my Uncle's house). Unfortunately, someone stole the pinata from Mama. :( LOL

Alyssa on her scooter....Camryn had already fell off of hers and was back in the house.

"I'm ready to work Geeda"! Uh...this set included a REAL hammer....should be fun for us!

Logan watching Cole play his DS.

Camryn getting some help from Geeda with her DS.

Whew...Christmas is over...well, almost. We are going to celebrate Christmas with Mama's family on Sunday and then we will be finished. We had a great Christmas and the kids got way too much stuff! My house is still a mess and I have picked up and picked up! I've posted a few pics from Christmas! I don't know what is going on with my new camera...it's probably the photographer. It takes great pictures as long as everyone is still....LOL! But, let someone move and it is so fuzzy. Oh well! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Just another busy day.....

Well...I am taking off at 12:00 today, so I won't be able to check any blogs or leave comments. :( I go through DT's at home now that my computer is dead! I found out it was not a virus, but my hard drive crashed at no fault to anyone. My computer is less than a year old, so you can imagine my surprise. Now, I have to call HP to see what my options are. I'm regretting now that I didn't purchase the extended warranty. :(

I have a busy day planned. I am going to get my bangs trimmed at 12:15, and then I am heading to school to attend 3 Christmas parties scheduled at the same time! UGH! I'll be running around the school like a crazy lady! I know, I know...and that's different from any other time?!?! LOL Then, Camryn has ballet and a Christmas Party. After Joey picks the kids up, CJ and I are heading to Roanoke Rapids to do a little shopping. I'm tired already!!! Do any of you have any ides what I can buy for a Chinese Christmas Present for the office other than a gift card? It has to be something for a male or female. My supervisor said her present was bi-sexual...we laughed and laughed...she meant unisex! Too funny!

Good Luck Mandy and Charlie!

Just wanted to wish you both luck tomorrow!!! You will all be in my prayers tomorrow! Even you Charlie...you might need it! LOL I hope everything goes well, fast and pain free! We can always hope! Can't wait to see pictures of Little Mason Vann and hear all about him! Much Love!

Our Wild Bunch!

Thanks Michelle for the picture! My camera died in Chuck E. Cheese, so I didn't get any pictures in Bass Pro Shop. The kids all won these antlers playing a shooting game. Matthew is hiding his behind his back!

Busy Saturday

Andrew, Cora, Camryn, Hayley, Holden and Logan eating pizza at Chuck E. Cheese.

Hayley and Matthew

Hayley

Logan and Holden being silly. Do you see the sign on the ride...one rider at a time? They tried really hard to get on it together...Boys!

Camryn

Saturday morning after breakfast, Camryn, Logan and I headed to Cora Mulder's house to follow them to Chesapeake. Two of her boys, Matthew and Andrew, were celebrating their birthday at Chuck E. Cheese. The kids had a great time! After Chuck E. Cheese, we followed some of our friends from the party to Bass Pro Shop to see Santa Claus. I have to share some funny stories about Andrew in Bass Pro Shop. A little background on Andrew...his Daddy (John) and I grew up together and have always been friends. He's always been my "big brother". Anyways, Andrew is just like his Daddy. So...here is the story. John led us to Santa Claus and him and Alan (Burgess) left us with 6 kids in line. Fun, fun! So, me, Camryn, Logan, Cora, Matthew, Andrew, Michelle, Hayley and Holden are all waiting to see Santa. Our kids were everywhere! Down the aisles, missing in action, you name it! LOL Okay...so Cora is off looking for Matthew, who is 10 and MIA...LOL...when a man turns to Michelle and says, "Is that your child?" We turn to look and Andrew is standing there grinning with a bottle of something opened and has his finger in it! LOL His look was priceless! Then, later on we were looking at the fish, Andrew tapped me on the shoulder, and pointed to the "male" bear behind me to show me his private parts. LOL He is such a mess and so much like his Daddy! Atleast the pictures with Santa turned out cute and they were FREE! We really did have a great time laughing at our "wild" children! I'm sure we were getting some looks! Oh well!

After we left Bass Pro, we headed home! Whew! My two fell asleep on the way back, so it was a nice, quiet ride for me. We stopped at McDonald's and ate supper. They were both so sweet and well behaved. So unusual for my kids! :) I do have some wild ones! But, I do enjoy them so much!

Alyssa's 1st Dance

Alyssa posing in front of the tree at home before the dance.

Friday night, Alyssa went to her very first dance!!! One of her friends, Lauren Storey had a birthday dance for her 10th birthday. When I got off of work Friday, Alyssa had to go home and wash, blow dry and straighten her hair. Too funny! Her boyfriend didn't even show up! LOL She was okay with it because she said she danced with the girls and didn't have to worry about him seeing her dance. LOL

Has my computer died?

I have had my computer at home for less than a year. I keep getting a message when I turn my computer on: Insert system disc and press enter. That's all I get. I tried the usual... rebooting and nothing happens....that's it! If any of you have had this happen or know anything about computers, please let me know. We actually use our computer at home very little so I don't know what happened or how it happened. If you have any insight, please help! Thanks!

Our Christmas Party

Matt, Debbie, Rhonda, Jim and Keith - The Meherrin Team for Family Feud. Rhonda is always eager to volunteer. LOL Her husband, David was "drafted" to the Peanut Team.

Last night we had a Christmas Party with our "sister" companies, Meherrin Ag, Severn Peanut, Hampton Farms, Northampton Peanut, etc. at Whitley's BBQ in Murfreesboro. Our food was AWESOME! Some of the things they had were fried chicken, barbecue, sliced pork roast with gravy, country ham, fried shrimp, fried fish, homemade creamed potatoes, butterbeans and corn, broccoli and cheese casserole, baked apples, yams, and several desserts. I'm sure I left off some things. They also had an amazing crab dip for an appetizer! We played "The Family Feud", and had a drawing with prizes! We had a great time and laughed a lot! When we got ready to leave, one of the men that worked with the restaurant had a seizure. The President of our company stopped everything and we all prayed for him. Luckily, we had a Medic there that was able to assess the situation until the rescue squad arrived. I hope he is okay and he is my prayers.

Just a little blog about nothing.....

I have actually been working on inventory (which I hate) all morning, so I haven't had time to blog. I did check on the blogs and leave a comment here and there. :)

Last night, the boys had ball practice, so CJ and I headed to Ahoskie. We had a gift certificate to Catherine's and decided to go use it and "try" to do a little shopping. We needed some ideas for Santa Claus for Logan, but no such luck! He won't tell us anything he wants for Christmas except a stuffed dog that he is going to name Cuddles! I know, it's hard to believe coming from my mean little boy. I think he's going to get a new TV since he poured drink in the back of his Spongebob TV and broke it. See! I told you he was mean! LOL But anyways, I have my mind set on a certain one and they didn't have it.

After we left Ahoskie, we stopped by to see Mama and Daddy for a little while. They were both doing good and getting over colds. Mama was working on her Christmas Tree. It's always so pretty! They did tell me that the doctor said that the Multiple Myeloma is in Daddy's bone marrow. (They had forgotten to mention that.) But, the doctor said Daddy is in really good shape and nothing needs to be done right now. He has to have routine bloodwork drawn every 2 months. We are all in good spirits and have decided not to worry about it until the doctor says we have something to worry about.

Hope you all are having a good day!

A Good Day

Do you ever just have a good day? Well, yesterday was a good day. After the good news with Daddy, I think it just made the day better. I must have been more relaxed, more at ease. CJ ventured off last night and left me at home with 5 kids. Usually... it is chaotic, but not last night. I cooked supper, I made homemade cookies, I helped the kids with homework, I helped the kids with their baths, I watched TV, I washed clothes. I was busy and the kids were calm! It was nice. Noone was fussing, not even me! :) With 5 kids, there is usually some type of drama going on, especially when 2 of them are girls!!! But, last night everyone got along and I'm thankful for my night at home with them and my good day! Hope you all have a great day today!

GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!

Can you tell we just got GREAT news?!?!?! Daddy's cancer is benign. I always thought benign meant a tumor that was not cancer, but actually it means non-agressive, non-active. So, he does have Mulitple Myeloma, but it is benign!!! He is doing great! They are going to keep a check on it, but as of right now everything is good! Thank you all for your prayers! GOD IS GOOD!!! This will be my last post today, I promise.....LOL!!!

Prayer Request

My Daddy goes today at 12:15 to find out if his cancer his benign or malignant. Please say a special prayer for him today that his cancer is benign. Thank you!!!

Too funny not to post

Aaron helping Nathan take off his boots.
Aaron pulling the boot.

Still pulling...look at Nathan's face...."Hey Aaron, watch your foot"! LOL

One down....one to go! LOL
This was soooo funny! Evidently, they must do this a lot because Nathan told Aaron to help him take off his boots, and Aaron said, "Man, why do you always have to wear these boots"? I can't tell you how many times he pulled before the boot came off. After 3 or 4 attempts, I had to grab my camera. Aaron was like, "Miss Kelly, why are you taking pictures of this"? LOL Because I have to blog about it, duh!!!!! LOL

Open House at Meherrin Fertilizer

Our Christmas Tree at work!
Cathy decorating the tree.

Donna (our supervisor) decorating the tree.

Rhonda and Becky decorating the tree.
Here are some pics I took this morning of everyone decorating the tree at work! I think it turned out beautiful! Wish I had all them at home to help me!

Open House

We finally put our Christmas Tree up Sunday! We bought a pre-lit, slim line tree a couple of years ago. It's easy to put together and doesn't take up much room. My living room is so full of furniture, I just don't have the room for a big tree. Alyssa, Camryn and Logan decorated the majority of the tree. They enjoyed doing it and I enjoyed watching them! I thought this pic was cute, can you see Logan peeking from the dining room?

Our Cold Weekend

The girls "camping" out in the living room!
The fireplace! Yay heat! Excuse the mess on the sidelines! It was too cold to worry about picking it up! LOL

Imagine our surprise when we came home Friday to no heat! Let me tell you, it was COLD!!! Nancy, John, Tammy, Ray and CJ came to our rescue Friday night with firewood for our fireplace. Thanks guys! Even though the house was chilly all weekend, the fireplace helped tremendously and we enjoyed it so much. Also, a BIG THANK YOU to Nancy and John for loaning us some extra firewood!!!

Funny Faces

So.....I have been in a yucky mood today! I've been trying to order some Christmas stuff on the internet. I paid way too much to ship one item and two items are on backorder. So frustrating! I have 21 invoices to credit and rebill because the price of fertilizer evidently dropped. Again frustrating. I've had call after call to check on this or check on that! Ugh! I know...complain, complain, complain! LOL I wanted to use another word, but I decided to censor it! LOL So...I decided to cheer myself up by posting some pics of my baby (who is 5) making funny faces for the camera. He's SOOOOO mean....but I love his little mean butt SOOOOO much!!!!! LOL

New Blogger Alert

Just wanted to let you all know that one of my very best friends, Shari Hudson, has started blogging! YAY! Send her some love at www.scrappin4corey.blogspot.com.
