Aaron's Birthday Party

Aaron's Birthday Cake! It was oh so yummy! Aaron hates store bought cakes and I wasn't sure if he was going to be home on his birthday, so I ordered his cake the day before. Since Melanie was doing me a favor, I asked her just to make it simple. I hated to call and order a cake the day before I needed it, but everyone needs a cake on their birthday!!! She did a great job and it was soooo good!

All of the boys eating supper! Did you know that teenage boys hate to have their picture taken?!?! UGH!!!! This was about the best one I could get and that's pretty sad. I got hands over the faces and silly faces. Also, when you turn 16, the only thing you want is money, so there are no pics of him opening presents. All and all, the boys had a great time and spent the entire time in their room playing Playstation and talking! They did manage to grace us with their presence when it was time to eat!

HAPPY 16TH BIRTHDAY AARON!!!!

Happy 16th Birthday Aaron!!!! I can not believe he is 16!!! We are cooking out tonight for his birthday with some of our family and friends! I'll have to see what kind of pics I can get tonight to post tomorrow. As I told you in a previous post, Aaron was burned really bad last weekend. He has 2nd degree burns on both of his legs. He has had 4 trips to the doctors office to check the progress and everything is healing up! He gets to finally return to school tomorrow and when he goes to the doctor on Friday, they will let him know if he is able to remove the bandages for good. He has been at his Mom's since Friday, so I'm anxious to see how much they have healed up. Although Aaron was burned really bad, we are very fortunate that it was not worse and he is okay.

Aaron, I hope you have a wonderful 16th Birthday! I love you!!!!

Samantha Renee Bryant

Congratulation to to my cousin, Susan Newton Bryant and her husband, Jamie on the birth of their baby girl, Samantha Renee. She was born yesterday and weighed 6 lbs. 12 1/2 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. Jamie texted me all day yesterday on updates. I felt like I was right there with her and it meant so much to me! Susan and I are only 2 months apart and grew up together and have always been really close. Both, Mama and Baby are doing great! I know they are ready to go home! I bet big brother, Caleb is going to be so proud of his little sister!!!

Sadly, this was not the worst one of the 4 doors! He got himself a spanking this morning when I found that he had used a green crayon on his freshly painted closet door. Luckily, the door needs to be painted again because the previous marker had bled through! UGH! Boys!

Summary of the LONG weekend

Thursday - Weight Watchers - I gained 6 oz. I was actually okay with it because I thought it was going to be a pound or even two! I wish I could say I am on track, but I have been eating way too much. I don't know what is going on with my diet!



Friday - I took the day off. Mama had the kids all week and we don't get a day off for Easter, so I opted for a long weekend! Friday was a very productive day. We pulled up a lot of bushes out of our yard and even had the kids help out with the clean up. My brother stopped by and painted 4 doors for me. I hated to do away with Logan's artwork, but it was time to go! LOL



Saturday - My husband's 40th Birthday!!! Happy Birthday CJ!!! I spent the whole day cleaning because we had a cookout at our house that evening. We had a great time until the end! To make a long story short, some gas was thrown in a fire barrel outside. My step-son Aaron, my nephew Cody, and our friend Eric were all injured. Cody had minimal burns and we are so thankful for that. He was the one actually on fire and ripped his on shirt off. Luckily, he had on two shirts. Aaron had the worst injuries and both him and Eric have 2nd degree burns! Cathy drove Aaron and myself to the hospital at 11:30 at night! Thank you so much Cathy!!! We love you! They saw Aaron right away, wrapped up his legs and then we waited...forever!! Our friend Carolyn ( Allyson's Mom), drove CJ, Nathan, Tammy, Cody and Allyson to the hospital so CJ and Nathan could be with Aaron and have Cody checked out. Eric parent's, Fannie and Jeff, brought him to the hospital. Thank you Carolyn for driving everyone to the hospital! Thank you for running home to get cream for the boys burns!! We love you! You'll never know how thankful we are!! We were all at the hospital until 5:00 am! The boys were rubbed down with silverdine cream and wrapped up in gauze, given some prescriptions and off to Wal-Greens! We all finally got home around 6 am. The boys are still sore, but are doing really well! It could have been a lot worse and we are son thankful! CJ took Aaron to the doctor today and she said everything looked good, prescribed him an antibiotic and bandaged him back up. He has another appointment tomorrow.



Sunday - Well, like I said we got home at 6 am. We went to bed and I woke up at 7:45 am to call Joey to see if he could watch the kids until that afternoon. Of course he had plans, so he said he could bring them around 9:30! Wow an extra 30 minutes, and told me I would have to tough it! I found out that Joey reads my blog from time to time, so maybe he will read this! HA! My kids were crazy when they got home! I tried to keep them quiet so everyone could sleep, but Logan just won't feeling it. CJ and the boys got up around 1 or 2 pm, and I finally got a shower and took a nap until 5 pm. I woke up to CJ yelling, "BE QUIET BEFORE YOU WAKE UP YOUR MAMA!!!" I was like, okay you just did! So, I felt a little refreshed, but then shortly after realized that I was still so tired. I have so much to do today and I am still so tired. Just checked on Aaron and he has only had one pain pill today and is doing good!!! Well, I'm off to do some work!!! I tried to summarize everything to lessen the reading!

Easter Weekend

We had a very busy weekend! Friday night, I met my brother at the movies with my 3 kids and his 2 kids to see the new Hannah Montana Movie! It was a great movie! After the movie, we stopped at Burger King for a late supper. My kids were entertaining another couple in BK. They wanted to know if all of them were mine. I told them, no, just the 3 wild ones!

Saturday was opening day for Turkey Season, so I had the kids until after lunch. My brother, five kids and I met Cathy and Shari and Corey in Severn for an Easter Egg Hunt at Severn Community Building. It was really sweet and we had a really good time. After the kids hunted eggs, we all went inside for hot dogs! Yum, but so high in points!

The Easter Bunny came to see Alyssa, Camryn and Logan 4 times! Here is a pic from my house. He also visited their Dad's, their Gee-Ma's and my uncle's house! I didn't get pics of all of that! I know they were glad that I helped them out on the Reese Cups!!! LOL


Sunday, we headed to Skippers, VA to my Uncle's house. We ate a BIG lunch and the kids had an awesome Easter Egg Hunt! Big thanks to my cousin and Karen!!! They had tons of eggs and an Easter Basket for each one after the hunt!

Aaron and Nathan were with their Mom this Easter and they finally came home yesterday. (We missed you guys!!!) Nathan didn't know that Logan got a fake snake from the Easter Bunny at Gee-Ma's. Logan had left it in the bath tub and Nathan discovered it when he got home. He told Logan not to leave his snake in the tub anymore! Cute!

Week 14 Results

Well.....I took my gain last week and just rolled with it. According to my scales this week, I had a big gain...a 2 lb gain!! UGH! So...I did the mature thing and skipped Weight Watchers! Ha! Actually, I didn't believe it and had Cathy bring both of her scales to work. I weighed on both of her scales, determined they were all the same, and sat on the floor and cried like a big baby! I felt better after I cried, but I was just so mad at myself and frustrated that I had to get it out. I decided not to go to Weight Watchers last night. I probably needed to go, but I decided I didn't want that gain on my sheet and I didn't want to use a no weigh in pass. I decided to get myself back on track and go back next week. I'm not ready to give up. Dieting is hard! If it wasn't hard, then I wouldn't have gotten this way in the first place. I need to become more aware of my portion sizes and start keeping up with my points on a daily basis. I've just been guessing and it's not working! I'm so fortunate to work with such a great support system and have my "Blogger Nation" support system as well. You all are going to keep me on track and I thank you for that! Hope you all have a wonderful Easter! I can't wait to see all of the pics next week!

Friday night, we had a birthday party for my brother at Mama's. We cooked out, the kids played outside and we had a great time!!

Happy 31st Birthday to my little brother!!! He is so not into his birthday! He said he's 31 and we do not need to make a big deal over it and he doesn't need any presents! My Daddy said that I would want presents even if you had to borrow money to get them! I didn't think it was very funny....probably true...but not very funny!!! LOL

Week 13 Results

Oh how I hate to post this weight GAIN today....UGH! I gained 6 ounces! I will have to admit, I was pretty upset. My scales at home lied to me and told me that I had lost 2 ounces. Not much, but it was something. I don't eat anything on WW day, so I know it wasn't that. I had a pretty bad week as far as eating goes. I ate REAL brownies and had a couple of REAL Coca-Cola's. I've also ate a bunch of other over-portion stuff! LOL So...I am going to be a big girl, swallow hard, take the gain, and do better this week. One of my friends, Susan, and I made a deal to track EVERYTHING this week. I plan to stick to it! I stopped by Food Lion last night and bought a few things to help keep me on track. Good luck to everyone this week! Thank you all for your continued support. I hope to have a more upbeat blog next Friday! Wish me luck!
